Description

As a kid I was introduced to Alan Davis via his work on Excalibur, and his style really caught me off guard. It was so different to all the other work I loved at the time, yet still so good and polished. To me it almost looked like his characters were made of a different substance (more fluid, smooth and shiny) than when those characters were drawn by other Artists... and I liked it! It opened me up to other styles, for sure.

I was vaguely looking for a piece of his but couldn't find anything from Excalibur that I liked enough and could afford. But this page came up, and as it featured Kitty Pride I thought that was close enough (for now) and grabbed it.

Purchased from a fellow collector during Comic Art Live.

To me, Davis and Farmer are two of the all time greats. I like how you described his style - fluid is exactly right. And Farmer is such a clean inker. What a duo! Congrats on this one, it's a beauty!
