I remember when this issue came out... Everything about it felt different. Batman's world had Changed with a cap C. And Maleev's art was such a departure. It really sold the mood.

Man, just look at all that gorgeous architecture all over the page! Is it just me, or does anyone else feel Maleev was purposely channeling Mignola in that last panel? Oh, and any time some says a certain story featuring a particular character was their favourite one ever, I have to take notice. I'll make a note to read No Man's Land someday!
