This page is so great. The shadows, the detail, the mood, the look/expressions, the reveal, the floor's reflection...an incredible story told in one page. It's a powerful gut punch – the ultimate sacrifice from a character you can't help but love. I also love the dead flower. So symbolic. And finally there's the note that leads to Curse of the White Knight. I love this page, have I mentioned that? Thanks Steve.

Heartbreaking moment from The Curse of the White Knight, a powerful storyline written and drawn by Sean Murphy. This was the real tug at the heart in this story. Hands down one of the best of the decade. Great pick-up, congrasts.
