Wow! An original Cerebus piece by the legendary artist whose style Dave Sim was using in those early days? What a fabulous score! Well done, Rick, big congrats!
what an impressive find! love it! might even be better than the front cover! definately, more dramatic.
Another Wow! Congrats on acquiring this piece of BWS goodness - remember picking this book up for the covers!
That’s just gorgeous. Congrats.
Cerebus! Talk about a grail! Congrats on scoring a sexy piece of legendary storytelling!
What an unusual and exceptional piece! Bravo!
Such a special piece, in so many ways and for so many reasons. I could not be happier for you my friend. Treasure this gem for a lifetime.
Cerebus by BWS is very cool !!
I've never seen this before. Very nice!!
Superb
A truly wonderful work of art....congrats.
Wonderful piece of art!
That front cover is awesome, but your back cover is superb. The pose is perfect. You feel like you surveying the scene with him. And just that little bit of color cleverly sets apart the protagonist, and simultaneously creates depth with such a strong foreground. True art. Big congrats!
Wow this is fantastic. I definitely remember these editions. Super grab! congrats!
At the time, BWS drawing Cerebus just seemed like a great inside joke. Looking at this now, it seems like great art. (It probably was great art back in the day also, I just didn't couldn't see past the joke.) Cheers!
Just awesome! Congrats!
Oh, my goodness gracious, Rick - this is an absolute treasure; a proverbial grail. I had xeroxed the front and back covers of SoC book 5 and put them on the front and back of my composition journal in high school. I looked at these pieces of art a LOT, and seeing them here in something other than black and white is a very special treat. :)
Gorgeous colors that are appropriately muted (for a rainy day) and pop out at you (as if on a rainy day). Pure mastery - what a piece! - and the drip of rain falling from the bottom of Cerebus' shield absolutely kills me. Awesome score, Rick. You win CAF tofday. :)
Wooooooooooooooow! Now if you'll excuse me I need to get a mop for all this drool.
Just an outstanding image, GRAND even, by one of the best to ever do it in BWS. A heroic Cerebus, indeed. Big congrats, Rick!
Wow, just stunning, absolutely love this, congrats!!
Speechless!
This is an ICONIC piece of artwork! Fantastic Piece of Comic Book History!
This is spectacular, huge congrats on an epic score! Of course, now you need the front cover... 🙂
When worlds collide! Barry Windsor-Smith's take on Dave Sim's Cerebus. Best of both worlds. Congrats.
Fantastic cover! The level of details is mind-boggling and must be a wonder to behold in person. But then, could we expect less from BWS...
This is sooo cool. Awesome pickup, Rick!
What a wonderful image! I was captivated by it when this Swords of Cerebus volume came out.
