Description
Kelly Freas cover art for the Science Fiction Book Club flyer "Things to Come" which advertised their book offerings for the coming month. This particular painting graced the cover of the February 1971 issue and illustrated a scene from "The Best Science Fiction Stories of Clifford Simak." The humorous tone of this painting reminds me of his work for Mad Magazine.

Dude, can you come get your robot rhino-dog! It really does remind me of his Mad work. I love the soft yet precise style. Very nice piece. Congrats!

Cool cover, looks like Richard Corben may have swiped the layout for his Eerie #77 cover published in '76
