The Mighty Thor (1st series) Issue 450 Pg 35 The End of Ego (1992)

Ego is just a neat concept, a great name and Kirby did an amazing job with his design. He both looks alive, ancient and worldy. This page comes from a storyline named "The End of Ego" in which he is being terrorized and also occupied by a Celestial. If you look closely at Ego you will see a troublesome Celestial on top of his head.

This page was both penciled and inked by Patrick Olliffe and it's a really dynamic full page splash. It's not quite a title splash as the next two pages are the coolest DPS of Ego from this storyline and have the title on it making this more of an "intro" page.

I had been searching for a while for a good affordable Ego page and this one was the best I've come across, in my budget, that doesn't have Ego looking too "cartoony". It also has a great expression on him and as I also collect Celestial pages this one has that little bonus guy.

The main character presence on this page is Count Tagar; an evolved Tiger by the High Evolutionary. Don't know much more than that.
