Description

This is my first page from a creator I've admired for a long time--in fact it's making me feel old thinking how long I've been living with his characters. Besides Luba and her signature hammer, what really sold me on this page is the whiff of magic realism in panel three, so effortlessly achieved. From issue 3 of Luba's solo book.

Awesome page. Hernandez achieves a very particular mood in this story and I totally agree with your observation about the effortless magical realism in panel 3. Such a great example!
