23rd page.

This page begins my favorite 3 page sequence in the book -- the solid black, the rendering, the white negative space -- I don't know what others think, but while drawing these 3 pages, I felt like I was on a roll. Of course I can see plenty of drawing mistakes, now that I've learned a bit, but I still like the feel of these pages.

I wish I had gotten to draw a real sword fight, one of the appeals of the genre, but this page touches on that a bit and sets the reader up for the 1st panel of the next page.
