Arrow: Hero of Star City Prelim 02

Incredible progress so far on Oliver Queen's face. As you can see I'm approaching this with a very subtle cross hatching technique inspired by Jim Lee and Frank Cho. The Green Arrow figure on the left will be shrouded in darkness, so I want to establish the effect of the viewer's eye seeing a transition from one image to the other by way of shadows. Further, I want that effect to be established regardless of what side of the page their eye falls on first. Admittedly, getting Stephen's eyes required some finessing, hence why there's still the 2H pencils. I'm proud so far of the facial hair, for which I'm using different nibs to convey that sense of depth. Whatever I don't cover, my Copics will. Basically I'm trying to get the inks established so that if there's a mistake, I can easily retrace onto a fresh sheet without any problems. More as it develops.
