Description
Zaffino is one of my absolute heroes so I’m incredibly happy to add a page of his to my collection! I think of Zaffino’s work as very textural and of course very inky so I was surprised by how smooth and thin the paper he worked on is and how well it held the ink and thick application of white media. I assumed the halftones were zip-a-tone when I purchased the page but once it arrived it was smooth and appeared to be printed on, after consultation of some gracious pros on social media the consensus is that it’s a rub on pattern probably made by Letraset or a similar company that produced rub on letters. I couldn’t be happier with the page and I’d like to thank Tavole Originali for a fantastic experience and I highly recommend them if anyone is looking to purchase some art!

Beautiful page I was eyeballing that one, purte Zaffino Grit. Wound up in a great collection. I too was surprised when I got my Zaffino page how thin the paper was but it took a beating from Jorge and still held up well.

Thanks Matt! Your Conan page is incredible and considering your collection I take that as a huge compliment. I also had my eye on a Terror Inc. page that had a really nice Dr. Strange panel but ultimately decided on this one because I just love the Winterworld series and this page in particular is a cool moment in the story.

Amazing storytelling.  Panel 2 sends chills up my spine!

Thanks Marcus! I reread Wintersea when I was considering this page and as soon as I got to this part of the story I knew this was the page I wanted. A great dramatic scene in the story.

Awesome page!  Zaffino's control and dexterity were amazing.  Fantastic design, staging, textures, expressions, poses, and linework in this page!

Thanks! There were other pages I was considering but this one had a little bit of all those things you mentioned so I really felt like it was a page I could look at everyday for years to come and learn something new every time.
