Alan Davis is one of my favorite artists from the first time I saw his work on Uncanny 213 I was in... when Excalibur launched with some of my fan favorite X-men... Davis and Claremont were making magic! Where the X-men were a bit gritty then Excalibur was refreshing and fun. Having the opportunity to acquire a Davis Excalibur cover is exhilarating! And Phoenix! There was some confusion around this as there seems to be 2 versions of this cover out there (the other is also on Caf) but I was able to confirm With Alan that mine is the published version!

Davis' mastery of antaomy and figures on full display! In the weightlessness of space, different muscles are used and he is able to contort both characters in such a precise manner! The effects only add to bring the sizzle to the cover!
