Description

Straight from the pages of the infamous Maximum Carnage storyline, we have Iron Fist coming to the rescue of the cyborg hero Deathlok! While Spider-Man might not strictly be on the piece, the page does come from a Spidey-themed event, so that's still a win in my estimation! I don't think I have any Iron Fist pages, but this one is a great first! The martial artist superhero is drawn so dynamically by Tom Lyle, who also deserves a big shoutout, and even Deathlok, despite being in literal pieces, is a sight to behold!

Deathlok is always in a state of repair. Classic 90's crossovers and team ups of heroes often happened in groupings and this event has a good one here! Lyle's art brought street level realism to the more serious tone Spider-stories of that time.

Tom Lyle was one of the truly underrated artists of the 1990s. A solid storyteller with a timeless look to his work, he left us way too soon. Thank you for sharing this great example of his art!

As a fan of Deathlok and a HUGE fan of Iron Fist, this is definitely still a GREAT page in spite of Spidey not being on it. Great characters and very solid looking art by Lyle, no doubt!
