Description
I really love Silver Surfer Requiem. It's one of those comics that I think has staying power but has also for whatever reason always kinda slept past many people. The story is beautiful, fitting and resonates. It is the story of the death of Silver Surfer who is plagued by a disease and what he does knowing he will soon pass.

This page is part of the sequence in which a mourning galactus takes the deceased body of Silver Surfer turning him into a star to continue shining in our world. Beautifully written, beautifully illustrated and poignant moments; a worthy requiem for our Silver Surfer.

My scanner doesn't do this page justice.

I always knew Galactus was a big softy. A big, murderous, planet-killing softy. I bet he likes puppies, too. I love the art from this series, and I'm a huge surfer fan, but I haven't read it. I'm going to rectify that today. I love that image of Galactus using his immense power for an emotional memorial. A great moment, and beautifully rendered. Congrats!

Smooth moves Adam! I circled this page many times. Congrats on bringing it home. This was one of the few books that made me cry. Cant wait to bring my first piece of it home!

When you get it share it here on CAF!   Would love to see which page you picked.  Gave me a tear as well and I really love what they had him do approaching his end and his last "gifts putting his true heart/nature/wisdom at the forefront.  Galactus standing still for days in his honor....just awesome stuff.
