Excalibur 67

So my all time favorite X-Men is Nightcrawler. The love affair started waaay back on Spider Man and his Amazing Friends. Then i discovered Classic X-Men 1 which I learned re-printed Giant Sized X-Men 1. which as we all know is Nightcrawlers first appearance. well needless to say i worked hard that summer to earn the $100.00 needed to purchase that book at my local amazing comic store.
This page for me is an excellent example of Nightcrawler as a leader which I would come to know him as later in his career. (I will own a more swashbuckling type action page one day)This is also an really nice example of Alan Davi's storytelling abilities. He really does a nice job of moving you through the page, making every panel unique and interesting. This is a masters approach to taking what could have been a talking heads page. And turning it into a really awesome moody/somewhat tense page. Full of characters and and a apocalyptic back ground. It has it all, plenty of Nightcrawler. The Captain, Kitty and Lockheed, and some Meagan. Lastly, the final panel has a downed Sentinel! Oh boy, this page had it all for me and now it is mine. I hope you all enjoy it as much as I do??
