DescriptionGreat page by Fred Carillo from House Of Secrets #110 [Aug. 1973]. This is page 7 from the first main story "Domain Of The Dead". As a fan of classic horror comics in general, any time you can land a page from this era featuring a vampire in a coffin getting staked & turning into a skeleton is a win in my book! The imagery from the 2nd & 4th panels of this page is also echoed on the cover art for the issue by the great LD.I am particularly pleased to own this one as it gave me tremendous inspiration while I was working on drawing a similarly flavoured short story for a horror comic anthology series by InDELLible Comics. Done with such ornate details and adorned with the high caliber of set dressing taken out of vampire movie productions and illustrations, Carillo must have taken his time to so thoroughly draw this story. Gothic and dark themed, the lady is put into a situation we hope to never be in.
