Katy Keene (Archie Comics) Stationary Layout Designs (2) by Dan DeCarlo

Dan DeCarlo was, of course, the long-running standard bearer for Archie Comics, updating the look established by Bob Montana and defining the characters for multiple generations.

But one prominent Archie character was never handled by DeCarlo (as far as I can tell); Katy Keene. Katy was always handled in a style reminiscent of her creator, Bill Woggon, as compared to the Montana/DeCarlo house styles.

Here, however, we find DeCarlo doing layouts for what certainly appears to be stationary.

In the center, you will note a significant tear, as all three pieces were damaged during shipping. Thankfully, on only one piece does it impact actual character art.
