Description

I discovered James Martin's art through some other collectors on CAF, and he posts some amazing sketches/illustrations almost daily. I came across this rendition of Natalie Wood a while back and finally picked it up during one of James's art sales. While it's not as fully rendered as some of his other pieces, I love the simple elegance to it, from the ink wash to the use of spot colors, and it kind of gives me an 80's pop art vibe as well.

If you're going to draw Natalie Wood, you have GOT to get the eyes right. James just nails it here. They are absolutely beautiful, just as she was. A lovely drawing that perfectly captures the magic of this screen legend.
