Description

This trimmed graphite and color pencil drawing at one time was part of the original model sheet entitled "FOX and CAT MODELS PINOCCHIO comparative sizes F-3." It occupied the top right quarter of the original model sheet that was copied and distributed to the concerning animators in need. The back of the art has some dried glue residue of the type used in those days to attach multiple drawings to one board but it did not seep through to the art.--- This pair of bad boys are making the most of their ragged clothing with a regal manner. We see the foxes pretensions to dignity, his air of shabby gentility and his claim as an actor with the theater. Dimwitted Gideon emulates the foxes behavior also fitting his gloves. --- Image size is approximately 7.25" x 6". Currently framed and matted to 13 1/2" x 14".

One must have dignity when going through a tough patch in life as were most people coming out of the depression. Dignity might be the only thing you possessed that can't be taken away.
