Description

A beautiful commission by 2000AD legend Colin MacNeil. An homage to The Schicklgruber Grab, one of my favorite Stront stories that sees Johnny and Wulf go back to 1945 and capture Adolph Hitler to stand trial in the future. I'm grateful for Colin's time and effort in completing this large and very detailed piece - I honestly couldn't be more pleased, it exceeded all my expectations.

Colin captures lighting so well using blocks of black and white, and all the details are perfect - including the German military uniform details and Johnny and Wulf's costumes & weaponry.

I also like the little details such as the helmet on the ground with a (hammer sized) dent, the damaged tank barrel (with distraught tank commander), the street sign noting "Schicklgruber Stra�e" (Schicklgruber Street in German) and Hitler's worried facial expression - he's knows the Sternhammer Silencer is on the way!

Nice commission! The detailing on the foreground soldiers is particularly nice, and very MacNeil.

Graphic but still very detailed. Awesome contrast highlights the subjects. I need to see more from this artist!
