They say you regret the ones you DIDN'T buy... So true in this case for me. Great DPS. Legendary work by Cassaday. I know this was early in his career but I truly think it's some of his best work.

Cassaday displayed a unique mix of graphic design in the overall image and action. When he got to spread his talent for a double pager splash, that thick outline for his main character really popped off the Bristol boards. He embellishes with those dry brush effects and minute crosshatches here which was a technique only a few artists knew how to command at the time.
