Kate Beaton Convention Sketch

What's not to love about Kate Beaton? Her work is lively and smart. My wife, my son and I went to a comic festival up in Maine about nine or so years ago. She signed and sketched our book and for the sketch, she did a little portrait of our child, age 4. He was wearing the robot t-shirt and that backpack. His hair was so curly then. As an aside, another artist did a sketch of my son dressed in the robot shirt as well. That was Mike Lynch, but I can't seem to find the book he drew the sketch in. So what we have is Kate Beaton taking a perfect snap shot of a time and place
