Description
Parlov has been on my list for some time, so I am quite pleased to get a page from him (and it's Spidey!). I almost went for the Fury Max splash that Albert was selling on Dueling Dealers, but noticed that this came up on Heritage right before and figured I'd better wait. Glad I did, although I still thought that was a great splash, and at a fair price.

So on this page we have an infected Spider-man giving Rhino the absolute business. This is the page right before Spider-man begins to eat him, so if anyone knows where page 6 is I would love to have both of them.

Lots to like here, starting off with an acrobatic Spider-Man and then transitioning right to a Spidey swinging panel. I have come to realize that I am a complete sucker for swinging panels, and I absolutely love the perspective here. That kick is coming and Rhino knows it. Said kick causes this fight to spill into a hockey game at Madison Square Garden, which I think Goran does a fantastic job at capturing. This is achieved through the expression of the player's face on the bottom left panel, as well as that final panel. And again, the perspective of the final panel is what really makes it. He perfectly captures the viewpoint of being in the stands.

One other cool thing to note, is the advertising on the hockey rink wall in the bottom right panel. Mireo is a GPS company based out of Croatia, where Goran Parlov is from.

Parlov is underrated in a big way. Excellent page from just before the SHTF in this book.

Parlov is spectacular, as this page makes clear!  Super loose & clean lines but so much gravitas and power to his figures and faces.  Love the action here

Parlov's storytelling is on point, but slightly different from the Marvel way.  We see Spidey's wind up from panel 2 and skip the blow to go to the Rhino falling away.  He also understands Rangers fans would love seeing this fight on ice.

I've been enjoying Parlov's series of Spidey posts on social, and that top panel is wonderful. The flip and the positioning of the POV to make that work is classic and inventive all at once. Awesome piece.
