Looking at Val Mayerik's art here shows that artistic refinement of his early approach towards this horror title. You'd forget that this is a Man-Thing title and see the nightmare that a psychopath can produce. With an imagined slight, Foolkiller's evil is ignited into a rage! See his face become more scary as the shadow envelops his crazed homicidal mind. See his victims and their fear! See the chase build suspense!

I love Abel's inks on Mayerik. That combination really worked on Man-Thing, and that was a great issue. The storytelling is great here with the tense chase by Foolkiller rendered with so much pace. Nice page!
