What can I say. The Good Lord works in mysterious ways. I literally just won this strip on Heritage. Only my 8th Heritage win in 17 years. I lost last weeks SW strip featuring Darth Vader, but I like this one way more, featuring our favorite Heroes, Han Solo and Chewie. I love that they are standing side by side blasting away. A Classic image drawn by my Tocayo, Master Artist Alfredo P. Alcala.

Alfredo Alcala Star Wars Daily Comic Strip Original Art dated 11-22-80 (L.A. Times Syndicate, 1980). An action packed strip featuring Han Solo and Chewbacca! Strip writer Archie Goodwin gave writing credit to Brian Daley for this story arc as it was an adaptation of Daley's novel Han Solo At Stars End. Ink and white paint over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of approximately 13.75" x 4.5".

Stunning fanciful visuals by Alcala who brought nuanced entertaining artistry in between runs by master artists Manning and Williamson. This run happened after ESB and has a flashback story that highlighted the charisma of the Han and Chewie relationship. Alcala makes them look every bit the rouge smugglers up to no good with seeds of how they would turn into rebels.

Very nice pickup man!! I strongly considered going after this one as well but ultimately resisted, glad it went to a good home!! Iconic star wars duo right here. Congrats!
