Vintage Ploog, and an historical issue to boot. Quite a gem.
Nice page that is a big part of the origin! Daredevils were making and breaking jumping records keeping the public fascinated during the 70's. Ploog captures the pall of darkness as a previous attempt has resulted in death. This sparks Johnny's grim determination to make the jump.
Great top to bottom storytelling! Poor, poor Johnny doesn't know what's comin'! Congrats, Dinesh!
Cool page, love the last panel
Beauty of a Ploog. Love the Black Inks!!!
**** what an amazing page! 🔥🔥
Historic issue and classic Ploog art! Congrats and thanks for sharing this!
I have worked it out. You are obsessed with 1 because you only have one eye. The avatar proves it. Lol
Great layouts and framing from this historic issue. I love the shadow in the second panel, and the look of grim determination on Blaze's face and terror on Roxanne's as the is held back in the fourth. Really tense. Great page!
I love the tone and the angles on this one! Great page from an historical issue!
Maybe even triumph and death? First appearance of Ghost Rider. Wow, what an historic page! And I dig how Ploog handled the moment. Very cool find. Big congrats!
A moody masterpiece by a comics legend! I love how Ploog is deep into the chiaroscuro and drama here, aside from the supernatural stuff elsewhere in the story. Tremendous page, congrats!
