Illustrative genius. They are each very emotionally moving images demonstrating Abraham's unwavering love of God that he would be willing to sacrifice his son.

Father Abraham had seven sons,
Seven sons had Father Abraham
And they never laughed,
And they never cried,
All they did was go like this...

I never realized how violent these stories were until I came across this strip. I mean, Moses even committed murder!

Great example of Smith's exquisite drybrush work. Congrats on landing all of these wonderful strips and thanks for posting them, Thomas! They're a feast for the eyes!
