John Romita Sr., Larry Lieber, Mike Esposito, Amazing Spider-man Annual 5 page 16

I've had this page sitting in my collection for a while but hanging on my wall. I'm a die-hard Amazing Spider-man fan. I was looking to add a Romita Sr to my collection and came across this page at SDCC in the hands of Cool Lines.
Some money and trade happened and I walked away with this bad boy.

Larry Lieber and Mike Esposito are both credited in the book as penciler and inker. However, Romita Sr did the layouts for Larry's rough and new-to-the-industry pencils.

Not a day goes by that I don't look at this beauty.

(the paper isn't as yellow/aged as the image may lead you to believe. hard to get a non-glare image of the "behind glass" art.)

I could stare at those Romita pencils all day. Love the last panel with Pete and Aunt May. Thanks for posting.

That last panel could have made for a full page in itself. Very refined work that has the action and emotion that Marvel was best at.
