Description
I always wanted a Kieron Dwyer Cap page and happy to have this one with both Cap and Nick Fury! The first story with Steve back as Cap after John Walker relinquished the mantle, this page features Nick Fury (thought dead in a blast) help free Cap from a deadly giant robot. The art (by Dwyer and legendary inked Al Milgrom) and story (by Mark Gruenwald) are classic 1980s storytelling and a nice capture of a fun time in comics.

Fellow Cap fan? Check out this Cap comic book fan group I started in 2020 which includes several artists as members, including Cap artists like Mike Zeck, John Beatty, Mike Perkins, Tom Morgan, Josef Rubinstein, Bob Sharon and many more! https://www.facebook.com/groups/captainamericacomicbookfans.

Dwyer is my favorite Cap artist, no doubt because he was the regular artist when I first started buying Cap monthly, but also because he did such a good job on the book.  I remember as a kid being so excited when this issue arrived to have Steve back in his proper role, and being shocked by the insanity of the first few pages of the story.  Congrats on adding such a great page from a great run to your collection!

Agreed on how shocking this issue was. Happy to have a page from Steve's return (and I was excited as a teenager, too)!

Is it really him?  A perfect opportunity for a skrull to assume his identity.

LOL.  So you're the one who bought it!  I was torn between this page and a Daredevil page with Fury, and I went with the latter.  This one was gone when I decided to buy it as well two days later.  I'm glad it has a good home!

Lucky me! It is my first Dwyer Cap published art, so happy to have an action seen in a key issue - the first full issue where Steve is back as Cap! I can't find your gallery so please email me your DD art - would love to see it.

I appreciate the heads-up about my gallery.  I'm not exactly sure what happened to it, or what's going on right now-I tried looking for it yesterday and nothing came up, so I took what was up down and am in the process of reloading things when I have free time.  I got the Dardevil page up, and it looks like it's visible to people, so hopefully I'm on the right track to reestablishing my galleries and making them visible.
