Before the Gal Gadot Wonder Woman films saw daylight, previous attempts had names like Joss Whedon and Daniel Day Lewis attached to them. This piece was part of a portfolio of reference art commissioned by Warner Brothers for one of these stalled films. The backgrounds were finished digitally, so only the bare outlines are present in this pencil rendition. The Wonder Woman pose, stabbing a chimera that's rushing toward Steve Trevor, is inspired by Frazetta.
