Description

From 1993, this was one of the most powerful images of Thor I saw long after I stopped picking up the book regularly in the early 80s. The storyline of Thor being slowly driven crazy was an interesting one and made more interesting by the boldness of the art which harks back to the latter Thor Kirby when he was being inked by people (Klein 168/169, Everett 170-175, Verpoorten w/Colletta 179) after it had been mostly Colletta. The effect of the one eye and the entire face glaring at reader really striking.
Special thank you to Christian Palomba for graciously letting this go and not long after he very shrewdly won it on dueling dealers. He is the first collector I ever dealt with through CAF. He made great impression on me (nice intelligent honest considerate person).
