Description

Here are three preliminiary sketches for a comic book version of Nathaniel Hawthorne's The Scarlet Letter by Wayne Boring. The top page describes it as such and has Boring's signature. The fourth, a full body splash of Hester Prynne is in my Good Girl Art V gallery. All four were acquired in one purchase. I still know nothing about this project, whether it was supposed to be part of Classics Illustrated or what. I presume the project was never finished.
