Description

One commission theme that I've used before, but not in a long while, is a group of different versions of the same Legionnaire, whether just from different periods of time or from different universes and/or reboots. Supergirl was an obvious choice for this theme, and Eric Gapstur wanted a shot at her, so I sent him some costumes reference, and boom, he delivered! I love that Eric included a Time Bubble, and that these girls are smiling as they are only too happy to (I assume) kick some villain butt and save Brainiac 5 from whatever mess he's gotten himself into this time. I sent this piece over to Simon Gough so that he could add some color to it, and he did an awesome job, as usual. I think that Supergirl's colors should always be bright and beautiful, exactly like Simon depicted her here. Big thanks to Eric and Simon for their amazing work here!

As far as I can tell, Supergirl only wore five different costumes during her time in the 30th and 31st centuries, including the rarely seen Kingdom Come costume, so those are the outfits that I chose for this commission. I really like when Supergirl is with the Legion, and I wish that she had more extended stays with the team. It's great for Brainy to have someone around that makes him uncomfortable (in a good way). I hope that she joins the latest version of the Legion for an extended stay soon.
