Description

Absolutely thrilled to pickup a splash page from the What If...? series. I fondly remember this series as a kid visiting comic book stores. This splash was published in What If...? The Punisher became an agent of SHIELD.

In this issue the Punisher is on suicide mission to end Hydra forever. Frank Castle dives from his plane using a wingsuit to initiate a solo attack on Hydra's secret base. In the end his mission is success but at the cost of his life.

But two more shall rise to take its place. Very cool piece! What if? works as an anthology to introduce a more diverse set of characters across the Marvel fandom with sometimes dark tales perfect for the grim and gritty age.

Truly an epic issues of What If? This was a great one, and had such a somber ending - really leaning into the appeal of the What If? line. Very nice full splash page, congrats!

I love title pages. One of my favorite aspects of comic art is being able to read the story or the key people behind the story. While the page is on the wall.
