DescriptionCLICK HERE FOR AUCTION LISTING!First base board is 11.25x16.5" w/full figure rendering of Dark Destroyer in ink w/a few spots of white ink. Stat logo at top right w/text "Face To Face With The Dark Destroyer". Second production board is 7.25x17" w/film overlay. Board has elaborate ink background w/toning that would be printed in green in book w/full color figure in foreground. Film overlay is figure art from other board and that has been hand colored on the reverse side like an animation cel. This artwork was used in Who's Who The Definitive Directory Of The DC Universe, August 1985, page 3. First appearance of the character Dark Destroyer was Atari Force #1. Base art is double signed by López. Stat on board is held in place with tape as made. Faint aging to board around figure where most likely framed or matted. Scattered spots of adhesive residue along top and lower left. A couple lt. tape stains. Second board with overlay has same residue at top and bottom of film area. Clear tape at top holding overlay. Both backs have DC date stamp. Lt. aging wear to both pieces but display Exc. Superb López art- highly detailed inkwork throughout. Social/Sharing |
