I know I overpaid for this, but it's from one of my favorite storylines growing up, with the Avengers crossing over with Super-Villain Team-Up.

Dr. Doom fighting WITH the Avengers against a greater threat? Wait, how can they trust the FF's bad guy?
Teen mind blown...

While I wish it was by Perez, this issue nevertheless had awesome art from Sal Buscema and Pablo Marcos, as you can tell from this action-packed page that includes Captain America, Scarlet Witch, Vision, Yellowjacket and Wasp and Iron Man all battling the Atlanteans and Tyrak.

Amazing art from an amazing issue that I loved as well Michael. As always, similar tastes from the same era. I didn't see this on eBay, which is a good thing or it would have gone even higher. Congrats and I don't think you over paid. This is a true gem!

This page is from a childhood favorite as well, when out searching for comics as a kid, 156 was one that always seemed to turn up, along with 175. Congrats on getting this page!

Spectacular page Michael...we share the same Golden age and love the same stories. While George Perez will always be my favorite artist as well, Sal Bucemas pages helped define this era almost as much. This is a fantastic page! Love it.

Sal was always the under-appreciated Buscema brother. He gets crapped on for not being John, and little recognition for his speed, consistency, and his abilty to convery action. Pablo Marcos is a great inker. I loved his work with Ron Wilson on Marvel Two in One.
