Before I even read your description, I looked at the image and the first thing that popped into my head was Dante's Inferno. Nice cover. I like the fresh spin that Carlos gives to Humberto's pencils.
Thanks, Eric! Definitely like what Carlos adds to here. And glad we're on the same page with Inferno :) Seems to be even more appropriate now that the storyline has kicked off in the current X-Books.
WOW, so much wonderful detail put into this splash! I totally see the Dante’s Inferno vibes, which was a great choice for the imagery here. Congrats my friend.
Thanks, George! The detail really is insane close-up!
Quite the striking image representing the hellscape of Rogue's psyche after absorbing billions of alien minds. I was a fan of Ramos' work going back to "Impulse," but I dont think I fully appreciated his talent until his work on X-Men. This piece is horrifically beautiful.
"Horrifically beautiful." If there's a more apt term out there to describe this, I haven't heard it yet. Thanks, Michael!
Cue Ursula singing "Those poor unfortunate souls..."
Dude...did we just Dante's Inferno and Little Mermaid this thing together on the same day?! All that's left is for us to practice karate in the basement together and we'd be best friends.
Beautiful Emma page and agreed on the background and intricate details!
Thank you, John!
Welcome to the dark side ... I hope you enjoy your stay. Great call - this is magnificent! Congrats and thanks for sharing!
This is gonna get 'spensive isn't it, Dave? Thanks, man!
How does one dress when the weather calls for a hellfire human tornado?! For Emma, every occasion it's skin tight! Nice E!
Emma straight up DGAF! Style over function - always!
"UH OH - OA" gallery is right...watch out my friend...nicer published pieces may start becoming more evident now that you broke the seal :) What a way to start! Great shot of Emma but what makes the image is the contrast of her vs. the twisting enflamed pillar in the backgroud. Outstanding detail on the latter. A real feast for the eyes. Congrats!
Hahaha thanks man! Still gonna be "commission guy" but opening my mind to other avenues a bit :) Let's start with splashes ;)
Love this one!! Congrats man. I considered pulling the trigger on this one on Anthony's site for awhile and never did. I prob should have but im glad you were the one who did!!! :)
Thanks, bud! I was eyeing this for a bit too and couldn't figure out why it was still available. I just couldn't hold off any longer. I think I would've kicked myself if I lost out...though not as hard if it was a bud (sayyyy....you) that got it :)
great minds think alike, I had this on a saved list of art. Happy you got it, this is such a great X-Men and Ramos page! Congrats!
Thanks, Brian! As I've been saying I think a lot of us saw it for but for one reason or another didn't pull the trigger. I can't say exactly why but ultimately one day I decided enough was enough!
Raging piece of infernal beauty here by Ramos. Emma doing her best to keep even keel in these hellish environs...
I think keeping an even keel in hell is even harder in platforms - for anyone other than darling Emma.
Truly spectacular splash and Dante would be proud!
Thanks, Dino! I think he would be too...and Emma makes a better visual than Dante anyway :)
Nice hellscape artwork as Ramos comes in with the classical illustrative linework. Frost's look is like the white flame of hellfire.
Marcus! Welcome back from your sojourn...the comment sections weren't the same without you!
You guys are doing just fine on the popular stuff. Need to amp up the under appreciated pieces people post.
Heard and appreciate, man!
Okay... Hubba! Hubba!<p>
Great pick up!
Hahaha I'm gonna put yours and Michael's together - "Hubba Hubba - Horrifically Beautiful" Thansk, bud!
The linework on the damned is fantastic.
It's a pretty generic(ish) piece without that background IMO.
Badass Page bud! But where's Cable?! :P
