Description

Another great masterpiece from one of great Italian Masters of the painted movie posters : ANGELO CESSELON . The movie is "RAGE" (48 ore per non morire).
RAGE is a 1966 Mexican-American drama neo noir thriller film and written and directed by Gilberto Gazcón and starring Glenn Ford, Stella Stevens and David Reynoso. The opening credits indicate the title of the film is 48 Ore Per Non Morire, which translated from Italian to English is "48 Hours Not To Die." Filming took place in Sierra de Órganos National Park in the town of Sombrerete, Mexico.----------------------------------------
TO BETTER UNDERSTAND THE GREAT PROFESSIONALITY OF THE PAINTER PLEASE SEE THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE AMERICAN AND THE ITALIAN POSTERS, NOTE THE HAIR OF MISS STEVENS !!! STUNNING!

Amazing raw brush strokes and splash of colors.  This poster painting advertises more exciting thrills than the refined version that relies on the dominant text for eliciting the same effect from the audience.

The digital art of today NEVER will be able to do EMOTIONS to the people who look , as many artists of the past was able to do with their PAINTINGS in acrilics or tempera .

I can only reply that you should check out some of the guys still working in the traditional style today.  While they may never reach the level of appreciation you have for these pieces, the artists' approach snd results seem to gather the same emotion and enthusiasm from their audience.

Certainly, I agree with you, it is also a generational matter ...
