Description

When I think of John Byrne Wolverine.. certain images flash into my mind .. and one of them is always that panel of wolverine in the sewers that leads to his first solo issue during the Phoenix saga� well We all love Byrne X-men� but Unfortunately we all can not afford Byrne X-men� thankfully marvel loves to flash back on the good stuff!! Marvel Comics Presents 5 from last year Diogenes Neves was asked to recreate the famous wolverine in the sewers panel in a full page splash� and I was able to grab the OA � pencils only and straight from Brazil .. now has a permanent home in New Jersey!

Revisiting this key scene still exemplifies the same feel of character development of Wolverine as the emotional heart of the X-Men. A single vertical doozy splash!

There's the SNIKT! Next up, the SHLUCKT! and a very bad day for some baddies. What a great homage. Just perfectly done, and those drop shadows are excellent. The angry slash at the water was always a great choice. Cool find. Congrats!
