Description

In my younger days and through high school, I was definitely a DC guy; Green Lantern and Batman were always my two favorites. But I pretty much devoured any Sci Fi available: comics, movies, TV, books, etc. And so this period of GL has a strong nostalgia. I subsequently read the Omega Men, so it's cool to get a page with the introduction of the Citadel / Psions. Always thought Staton's art was very underrated on the book -- he does outer space, aliens, and technology very well -- as seen here.

That 2nd panel helps you step into that new dimension with Staton's sci-fi art. The attention to detail spreads to the rest of the story with a fine quality to all the figures.

One of my favorite periods of that first Green Lantern series. Agree with Marcus (don't tell him). Staton really opens up the sense of scale here in a seriously cool way. It was likely the early NTT's issues but I've always liked pages with Gordanians on them.
