Description
15" x 10" image area. Ink over graphite on Bristol board. DC Comics Presents #68 Page 14 original art with VIXEN (DC, April 1984). Curt Swan and Murphy Anderson. From the Murphy Anderson collection.

Too bad this unique character has not featured more prominently. Vixen was intended to be the first African female DC superhero to star in her own series but the first issue was cancelled. I love this page with its multiple gorgeous panels of Vixen including a full-body center panel of her on the receiving end of the evil Admiral Cerebrus! JABOOM!!!!!

What is also really cool about this specific page is in the upper panels, she reflects on how she was losing control of her rage. A FIRST historic moment this downfall of her powers is revealed to the reader, as she too, is first discovering it herself!

Her slinky movement and tight toned althletic form are fully explored by the Swanderson team!

Riveting page. Sequential storytelling at its finest!

What? I didn't realize you were one of the other people to get one of these pages. This is such a terrific page. Every panel a winner, but especially that center panel.

I was thrilled to see these pages come up and am glad you got one too.

Thanks for sharing

Thank you, Christopher.  I don't know how I missed some of the others without Superman but you got the other best one and it was meant to be with you.  Vixen art is rare!!

Please put some of them up on the site rather than leave tantalising teases about three pages and a blank gallery, phantom commentator.

Any ideas on why this was not released?

Yes, a victim of the DC Implosion in 1978.
