Description
This page is part of a flashback done in an interesting way. The flashback art is line art, while the current action was done in wash style. This page has both styles on the same page.

From a story point of view, this page is interesting because Priest changes BP history forever with just one well-placed word. In the final panels, Cap asks T'Challa if he wants to take Cap's place in the Avengers. T'Challa says that he wishes to consider Cap's offer, "consider it very carefully". That one word "very" completely changes the ambiance of T'Challa's response. Instead of the goodie-goodie vibe of the original 1960s story (from which this flashback is drawn), with this one word "very" a sinister element is injected into the story.

Yes, BP wants to "consider" the offer, so he can determine if the Avengers represent a threat to the nation of Wakanda! This is Marvel continuity at its best: finding that one little opening and rewriting a story from 5 decades ago in such a way as to ripple subtly through the entire history of BP. Wow! Priest really was a great writer!

The line art flashback pages/panels in this issue were drawn by Amanda Conner and Jimmy Palmiotti.
