Description

Close to eight (nine?) years in the making, this super detailed and beautiful Kaluta Elric illustration finally arrived at my doorstep.

This was my reward for the Starstruck Kickstarter campaign. My only note on what I wanted was Elric along with some kind of monster. The original intended date for the reward was Feb 2014, but time marched on and no reward was in site. A friend who knew Michael put in some good words along the way and I was told the art was in the process of creation, sometime back in 2018. In early 2019, I received an image of the art, about 97% completed to what you see here.

Months and years went by and there were a few minimal bits of communication between myself and Mr. Kaluta as well as my friend.

I knew I'd eventually receive the art and was patient throughout. I couldn't be happier now that I have it. I'm not sure why it took so long, at least once it was completed (the back of the art is signed again, with info on it's origin as well as my name and the date of 3/14/21).

11 x 17 on heavy Bristol.
