An unlikely alliance; gorgeous and vivid scene featuring a masked Spawn and mostly whole Angela. One of many pages that stood out to me as a kid.

Very happy to have ended up with this page from Spawn issue 62, which was the first main run issue I bought back in 1997. Incidentally I actually discovered Spawn through the toys, as I was more of a toy collector back then and not reading many comics sadly. But once I started reading them I became a life-long fan. Big thanks to my Angela bros. Extremely big thanks to Greg and Jamie Capullo.

Even with so much turmoil on the page the artwork is still prime Spawn with well designed straight and ribboned linework showing direction of force and power.

McInks! Spawn was such an excellent character. The hellspawn with a heart of gold. And that is an excellent Angela, too. Pages like this are a good one to get, too, especially since McFarlane just sold her rights, so there's probably some more content with her coming down the pike. Very cool McFarlane/Capullo page. And you cannot beat the nostalgia tie-in. Big congrats!
