Description
A page from the graphic novel Silver Surfer Homecoming illustrated by Bill Reinhold and written by Jim Starlin. Thought it was cool to be able to add a page from this story to my collection. Always felt Silver Surfer has the potential for hard impacts with his stories and they can aim for higher philosophical/emotional resonance.

Bill Reinhold inked my absolute favorite series so I've found myself with a little Reinhold sub-collection; so that was an added bonus to this page/story. Found out years ago he lives somewhat near me so this page is kind of doing a Homecoming of it's own.

The page while rather simple is still a nice looking page, kind of a 2/3rd splash with silver surfer traversing the cosmos approaching his home planet with a cool space ship cockpit panel on top. I like it.

Lastly, it reminds me of a little story I heard once. An artist was brought in front of a king to rule on his execution. The king said to the artist, "show me your worth and why I should spare your life." The artist then proceeded to grab a quill and on a parchment drew an absolutely perfect circle. The King sat impressed and said, "You may live."

Page is oversized so had to settle with a cellphone pic due to it not fitting in my scanner.

Star Wars Williamson levels of detail for the console and the space sphere.  The Surfer in the big panel shows off the immense power of the scene that would have a lasting effect for a few pages.
