Back in school around 73', we used to talk about who was the best "new" comicbook artist....and there were quite afew young "punks" who had just appeared on the scene, Simonson, Kaluta, Corben, Cockrum, Starlin, Gulacy,Buckler, Chaykin,...and all those Spanish artists that Warren had brought over.It was also about this time that I had picked up "National Lampoon", the "Solomon Kane" series, and alot of those Sci-Fi paperbacks and discovered Jeff Jones work...his work had a "magic" to it that sort of put it outside of "regular" comics.

Great piece! The art is jaw dropping, but I still don't understand the message of those strips ( if there ever was one ). MS. Jones was and is a master of the brush. If you have any Krazy Kat strips from N.P. I'd like to see those.
