Description
Bloody awful feet indeed!

I am a big fan of the Mignolaverse, so I am thrilled to finally add some artwork from Duncan Fegredo to the collection. Both of these pages came with the pencils, and it is really cool to see the notes made for each panel. Can't get enough of that part of the process.

This page includes a couple cool shots of the tomb, as well as a beautiful Hecate panel. Then you have the reveal of the terrifying feet and tail. Neat to see how the robe was designed to conceal the horrors revealed in that final panel. Also interesting that Duncan changed the owl from the pencils to the inks. The wings were interfering with the other bird, but I kind of dig them both.

These pages are a wonderful reminder that there is no such thing as too much Hellboy art. Big thanks to Mark at Splash Page for the inks and the pencils!

Very interesting to compare the piece side by side. Great insight into the creative process. Any idea who wrote those notes? And I can't get over "bloody awful feet."

Those are Duncan's notes, but I assume he takes those details from the story/script that Mignola provides.

Great page - love how it has a bit of a Mignola feel so you know you're in the Hellboy universe but artist still has his own take

Thats a great looknig page. I felt Duncan did a great job capturing the feel an style of Mike while making it his own. Plus he has some nice storytelling bits with Broomheed and Hectate. Great pick up.
