Description

One of my clients Joe Petrilak commissioned me to do a Black Panther image on a BP#1 blank cover variant. My idea was to swipe the classic Batman image from DC Comics' Limited Collectors' Edition C-25 by master Neal Adams (1974). This felt almost normal since my BP creative partners Priest & Velluto purposely rendered T'Challa in a full cape for diplomatic missions and rendered it in an almost outrageously too large Spawn cape. So I started with basic lightboxing the images onto the blank cover in pencil, drawing it with changes and details and then inking it. I signed it with full-disclosure but later digitally erased that part because it was sloppy and took away from the image IMHO. I completed this fun project November 24, 2019.
