Description

Disney WWII Insignia Drawing for Royal Canadian Artillery by Hank Porter (Walt Disney, c. 1945). An industrious bee shows his skill at multitasking in this insignia drawing created for the Recording Unit of the Royal Canadian Artillery's 1st Heavy Anti-Aircraft Regiment. The image depicts the bee as he examines several pages of information with a look of concentration on his face. The drawing was created by Hank Porter at Disney in about February of 1945. The image is rendered with graphite and blue pencil on 7.5" x 8.75" onionskin paper. The page is labeled in its lower right corner with 1255. This unit operated all over Europe, with duties in London, Dundee, Belfast, Sicily, and Italy. This excellent insignia drawing is in Very Good condition, with minor handling and edge wear.
