Description
I loved Ed Brubaker and Colin Wilson's Point Blank miniseries! It featured Grifter and Lynch from the Lee/Choi/Campbell WildStorm Golden Age, added TAO from the Alan Moore WildCATS revamp, then sprinkled crime noir and Simon Bisley covers over the top! The miniseries was successful enough to prompt the follow-up classic SLEEPER, by Brubaker and Sean Phillips, one of my very favorite comics of all time. I know I say that a lot.
This page was previously for sale by fellow CAFer Royd Burgoyne. After months of attempted contact with him failed, I sought out Colin Wilson personally on Facebook. He told me the page was for sale, but was missing the flashback image of Grifter, Zealot, and Savant, which was originally created on a separate page and subsequently lost. I asked if Colin would be willing to recreate the missing image and include it with my purchase of the page, and he agreed. I was in heaven!
When the tube arrived from Australia, I found a sealed manila envelope, the recreation of the missing flashback art, and the original page, all rolled inside the tube. When I inspected the recreation art, I found an ink damage line all across the middle of the inked image, where the envelope shifted inside the tube and caused ink transfer due to shipping. Inside the envelope were amazing prelims and character design pages that Colin included because he is awesome. He had no idea they would ruin the recreated image. I told Colin that I value the image as-is, because it is the most cursed piece of undead art in my entire collection!
PS if you don't want your art ruined, insist it be mailed flat with masonite!

I couldn't tell anything is wrong until you told me.  It's a street level gritty noir work that would have that kind of built in robustness to absorb flaws and celebrate it as part of its design.

I added additional images that show the damage. The main image I chose is the published, photoshopped image.
