Description

In 1966, "The New Adventures of Superman" featured two Superman stories with a Superboy story in the middle. This specific episode was written by Mort Weisinger and aired October 15th 1966. Overall plot of the story is a billionaire vows to give away his fortune to charity if he can be made to laugh.

Although The New Adventures of Superman has been released on DVD, the sets do not include the Superboy shorts because of a battle between Warner Bros. and the estate of Jerry Siegel over the rights to the "Superboy" name that occurred at the time. The series remains unreleased to DVD.

Just found out the following from 13th Dimension.com: "...the series, which originally ran in tandem with The New Adventures of Superman, is finally available again. Thing is, you can only get it in once place — the recently launched DC Universe app — and the 18 first-season episodes remain missing." So the cartoon created from this run of storyboards is still lost to the sands of time. FOR NOW!

I like that the dialogue for each image is right there to show what the drawing is emphasizing.
